Quiet over loud
We prefer calm cues, ordinary language and an unrushed pace. No countdowns, no shouting.
Home / About Us
We make short, considered movement sessions for ordinary days — built around real schedules, real bodies, and the gentle idea that consistency beats intensity.
Anklesoasieve began in a converted upstairs room on the King's Road, where Beatrice and Tristan kept noticing the same pattern. The people who walked through the door were not after intensity. They wanted something steady, slow and a little kinder — something that fit between meetings, school runs and the kettle boiling.
So we started writing routines for those exact moments. Six minutes here. Twelve minutes there. Sequences that pair well with a desk, a sofa or a hallway. The library has grown quietly ever since, shaped almost entirely by feedback from the people who actually use it.
We prefer calm cues, ordinary language and an unrushed pace. No countdowns, no shouting.
A six-minute routine you actually do beats a forty-minute one you keep skipping.
No kit, no jargon, no aesthetic pressure. Just a mat or a chair and a clear plan.
We design for the long arc of a year, not a fortnight. Consistency does the work.
We are a studio of three. Every sequence is written, tested and recorded by one of us before it ever appears in the library.
Beatrice Halloway — co-founder and lead session writer. Twelve years guiding small group movement classes across south-west London.
Tristan Ashby — co-founder and audio producer. Records the calm voice on the wind-down sequences and looks after the technical side.
Mira Caldwell — community editor. Reads every message that arrives, replies personally, and helps shape what we publish next.
