Privacy Policy
A clear, plain-English summary of what we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it.
Last updated:
This privacy policy explains how Anklesoasieve (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and looks after the personal information you share with us when you visit our website, contact our studio or buy one of our session bundles. We are a small studio based at 372 King's Rd, London SW3 5UZ, United Kingdom, and we take your privacy seriously.
We have written this policy in plain English. If anything is unclear, please write to us at the address on the Contact page and we will be glad to explain in more detail.
1. Who we are
Anklesoasieve is the trading name of a small movement studio operating from Chelsea, London. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we act as the data controller of the personal information you share with us. Our written address and telephone number are listed on the Contact page.
2. The information we collect
We only collect the small amount of information we genuinely need to run our studio and reply to your questions. The categories are:
- Contact form details: the name, email address and message you submit through our Contact page.
- Order details: where applicable, the billing name, email address and postcode used to deliver a digital bundle.
- Technical details: standard information your browser shares, such as the page you visited, the approximate region and the type of device you used.
- Cookie preferences: a small record of whether you have accepted or declined our cookie notice.
We do not ask for any sensitive personal data, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 16.
3. How we use your information
The information you share is used for a short, specific list of reasons:
- To reply personally to messages you send us through the Contact form.
- To deliver any session bundle you have ordered and to issue a receipt.
- To understand, in broad strokes, which pages are useful so we can keep the library improving.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping basic transaction records for accounting purposes.
3.1 Legal basis
Depending on the activity, we rely on one of the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR: your consent (for the contact form and analytics cookies), the performance of a contract (for any bundle you order), our legitimate interests (for running a small, secure website), or a legal obligation (for tax and accounting records).
4. How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages for up to twenty-four months from the date of your last reply, after which we delete them. Order records are kept for the period required by UK accounting and tax law, currently six years. Analytics data is aggregated and stored for no more than fourteen months.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the small number of service providers we use to run the studio, such as our email host and our payment processor. Each of these providers is contractually required to handle your information securely and only on our instructions.
In rare cases, we may share information if we are legally required to do so by a competent UK authority.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we ensure that an appropriate transfer mechanism is in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an equivalent safeguard recognised by the Information Commissioner's Office.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need a lawful reason to keep.
- Withdraw any consent you have given to us at any time.
- Object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests.
- Ask us to provide your information in a portable format.
- Make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the form on our Contact page and we will respond within one calendar month.
8. Security
We take sensible, proportionate steps to keep your information secure. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted internal access, regular software updates and backups, and a written incident-response procedure should anything ever go wrong.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our studio grows. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of the page. Material changes will also be highlighted on our home page for at least thirty days.
10. Contact
If you have any questions, requests or concerns about how we look after your personal information, please get in touch via the form on our Contact page and we will be happy to help.
